Okay, so I got all excited about Crowdstatus and built this. It pulls together tweets from journalism bloggers and teachers, digital journalists and others with thoughts about the future of news. Tell me who’s missing and I’ll add them!

This is a cool way to pull together tweets from a group of people. I like what the BBC has done with it. Nice step to open up what’s happening across the newsroom.

Remembering fallen journalists →
Thanks to Danny Sanchez for this little reminder that journalism is, in many cases, a matter of life and death. The BBC, he notes, will today “begin shining a beam of light into the sky each night to remember journalists who have died to inform people and give a voice to the voiceless.” Watch the dedication ceremony here.

Remembering Francis X. Clines' New York stories
For years, I read Clines’ little time capsule tributes to life in New York City, and every now and then a little snippet of one flashes into my mind. Today, I saw a couple jogging and remembered Clines overhearing one city runner turning breathlessly to a partner and asking, “Where are you, heartwise?”
